Words Have Power

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1

God said, let there be light and there was light. (Gen. 1:3) Our words have power and can change the universe, the atmosphere around us, and the unlimited power inside of us. Imagine, if we truly saw ourselves as powerful people we could make the world a better place. So many of us speak so loosely condemning, mocking, blaming, and shaming others when we could be identifying and speaking life into these people.

“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.” Ephesians 4:29

Oh what a people we would be to meet people right where they are at, without judgement, and build them up!

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” Proverbs 18:21

It can be a dangerous path when you begin to partner up with tearing people down.

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Matthew 7: 1-2

So yes, your words have power to give life or death. As you create your path, choose wisely the words you use and speak into your own life and the lives of others. These words are the words that will help you or hinder you from the forward and onward momentum that is the love of God.

 Partner up with heaven and ask the Lord, “What do you say about this?”
