Powerful Women

Ya know, I’ve been thinking a lot about princesses lately and princesses as we know it seem like fairy tales due to our very artistic and creative portrayals of them. But, I think princess stories have a profound influence on a girl’s heart because it’s rooted in truth. It is true that every girl and woman is a princess.

When I’ve been thinking about princesses and trying to look at it removed from fantasy land and bring into my reality, I started to think about some things: Why is it, in a royal mentality, that princesses are so special to men? There would be competitions for their hand in marriage! Why would they risk their lives for these women?

If the same man competing for a princess’ hand in marriage came across that same woman working outside in a farm, would he treat her the same? Would he die for her? Some, maybe. But not all. What is that special thing about princesses??

H E R P O S I T I O N

Jonathan Stephens, a Chaplin of the Military and husband of a very powerful and graceful woman, highlighted authority to our church the past two weeks and poured out his heart and experience within his life of what it meant. He was so vulnerable and his pureness and sincere perspective blasted through our spirits. It seemed as if everyone was changed in their own ways. One of the things he reminded me of, was the word “Position.” Now, I have a deep understanding of that word in my own walk with Jesus.

PURPOSE > Position

I am not worried of a position or aching for a title. My heart beats for purpose because it is rooted in destiny; What are people called for? What is God doing here? How can we advance the kingdom of heaven? How can I love these people?

What I didn’t know before was the perspective on the value of position and how it can influence a person on either end. I have written a lot about people we look up to in blogs years past, but if I had known then that it I was describing authority in a person’s position it would’ve helped my understanding a whole lot more! haha. People respond and surrender to position and it’s authority and allow position to dictate their lives. This happens abusively throughout all genders, all races, and all nations.

So lately, I have been thinking about those princesses right and how in a man’s eyes she is the daughter of the King. The King is the man in highest power of the land and his daughter, by their blood, has inheritance and connection to the Kingdom. Every man is created to treat this woman with respect, admiration, support, and love no matter if he wins her hand or not because of her position

That’s how women should be upheld and treated because every woman is a princess of the King. Every woman and girl is a princess with King Jesus.

So princesses, hold your head high, walk in your utmost authority, remember that you are loved valued and empowered to live a full and inspiring life. You are respected and you are supported by the entirety of the Kingdom Of Heaven because of the King himself. He shed his blood so that you can have access to Freedom and his resources are your resources. His wisdom is your wisdom. His strength is your strength.

YOU ARE A POWERFUL WOMAN SO BELIEVE IT.

The most powerful women I know are women who are loved

When the Lord changed and encountered my heart in a profound way he did that through his love because he loves me. His love changed me. His honor, faith, respect, and admiration for me changed me! God’s love is pure, it is safe, and it is so empowering.

“For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

Christ, the Messiah, the Savior! The ultimate chosen one!

And you are the same. All of you! Everyone. The Lord is faithful to his promises. He cannot lie. It’s impossible.

Literally. Every cell in our body was created by him. The air we breathe came from God.

“Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.” Genesis 2:7
