Why Lie?

For me, I always understood lying as something we did in our little worlds. For example, lying to a boss about staying home sick from work but instead what you really did was go to a concert of your favorite band. Or those times in high school when you lied so that you can spend more time with your friends. I never understood lying in the context of hurting other people. I feel so blind to it and naive. I mean, I remember in high school girls lying about me and spreading rumors but for some reason I always thought it was from people’s wrong impressions of me or that it was something I did wrong; that I was somehow responsible for it. Not till recently did I see lying on a whole new scale; lying that destroyed an event, relationships, and a person’s reputation. Lying, like the bible talks about lying and layers of it. I almost feel like, the lies I have always understood to be lies should have a whole different word compared to this kind of lying.

FEAR

FEAR INSPIRES ALL LIES.

Because God is love and truth and God cannot lie (it is literally impossible for God to lie) than that means that lying is a natural cause of this broken world we are born into. That is not from the lifestyle of heaven.

I can see this because I have lied so much growing up about the decisions I was making that I knew my parents wouldn’t approve of or just “not understand.” But then there was those lies that kept a whole part of me hidden. The lies that covered up another reality being born in me. I lied so much in those days or wasn’t outspoken about situations and actions I witnessed cause I knew they were bad. I didn’t want to tattle tell or worse, get anyone in serious trouble. I was afraid. This world encourages us to be afraid of truth. That is why God is so important and so empowering.

Some people are so afraid of themselves they spend their whole life lying to themselves and in turn lie to all the people around them tearing down relationship after relationship only being able to sustain the friendships that adhere or support those lies. They create a false reality within them which in turns destroys the world around them.

Manipulation:

But wouldn’t people notice it? Wouldn’t these liars live all alone in their false reality?

One would think that would be true, but not all liars are horrible to be around. Some liars can be the favorite person in the room which makes it even harder to notice. They have this born given gift of favor of man but yet use it to feed these addictions instead of bring life and lifting the lives around them up.

Now, it’s one thing to talk about people and get coaching on relationships. It’s a step off the path to talk badly about other people instead of solving your issues you have with them. Truly, it is a whole kind of monster who goes around spreading lies about other people.In order to sustain order and have their lives function according to their reality anyone who opposes them (acts in truth) must be exiled or destroyed. This is where real out right evil comes in. When people intentionally lie to others about other people. God says bless your enemies do not curse them. Why would he say that? Because its so natural for us! We are born into a broken world! But if we want to jump on the train of freedom and in the current that heaven is propelling we must make conscious decisions to act in love and light.

Manipulation is not a light topic. I was definitely manipulating in high school because I lied to get my way. I went around the truth. Even though I always made sure someone covered my shift or that I was going to get home safe in those nights where I made it my responsibility, it still wasn’t a good thing. But to me, going around spreading lies about other people and covering up the truth in order to protect yourself or someone else is a whole new level! To feed the beast inside of you that so badly wants to take control out of God’s hands and rip people or a situation apart is called evil.

Evil’s mantra: To kill steal and destroy.

I haven’t understood this topic fully till this day. Loved ones have done this to me and I get it, but now I really get it. In all honesty, it makes me sad, very sad. That instead of being a solution to problems, people can go around and cause or perpetuate problems to make themselves look good. Enabling lies to grant yourself some kind of authority in a situation only hurts you and the people around you. It’s crazy cause these people can suck anyone into believing their reality so easily because they are so desperate for you to learn it so that they can rest easy knowing they are winning.

My prayer today is that people see right through them and give them the clear wisdom and truth to break them free from this. My prayer today that in all the ways I do this, without realizing it, please Lord grant me the courage and clarity to step out of it and back on the good path.

You can learn a lot about someone’s character on how they talk about other people.

In the bible it says to bless your enemies instead of curse them. Because our words have power and we would never want to get sucked into how the broken part of this world evaluates these issues but instead align ourselves with how heaven sees things. It is not a battle skin to skin. Instead its the same ol’ same ol’ battle of manipulation, destruction, and stealing from the enemy. Evil’s plan is the only one that wins in our tearing down of each other. Bless these people bless these people bless these people. They need help because their false reality must be torment.

1 Peter 3: 8-12

8-12 Summing up: Be agreeable, be sympathetic, be loving, be compassionate, be humble. That goes for all of you, no exceptions. No retaliation. No sharp-tongued sarcasm. Instead, bless—that’s your job, to bless. You’ll be a blessing and also get a blessing.
